Welcome to Shocked Electronics. By using our repair services or visiting our website, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
Shocked Electronics provides professional camera and video equipment repair services. Our services include but are not limited to:
- DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema camera repairs
- Lens repair and calibration
- Video equipment servicing
- Sensor cleaning
- Water damage recovery
- LCD and component replacement
2. Estimates and Pricing
We provide free estimates for all repair services. Estimates are based on our initial assessment and may change upon further inspection of your equipment. You will be notified of any changes to the estimate before we proceed with repairs.
All prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without prior notice. Payment is due upon completion of repair unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
3. Warranty
All repairs performed by Shocked Electronics come with a 30-day warranty covering parts and labor related to the specific repair performed. This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or neglect after repair
- Issues unrelated to the original repair
- Cosmetic damage
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications
- Water damage occurring after the repair
4. Equipment Drop-off and Pick-up
When dropping off equipment for repair:
- You must provide accurate contact information
- You will receive a receipt detailing the equipment and reported issues
- Equipment must be picked up within 30 days of repair completion notification
- Equipment not picked up within 90 days may be considered abandoned
5. Mail-in Repairs
For mail-in repairs:
- You are responsible for shipping costs to our facility
- We recommend using insured shipping with tracking
- Shocked Electronics is not responsible for damage during shipping to our facility
- Return shipping costs may be included for qualifying repairs
6. Liability
While we take utmost care with your equipment, Shocked Electronics' liability is limited to the repair cost or the fair market value of the equipment, whichever is lower. We are not responsible for:
- Data loss on memory cards or internal storage
- Pre-existing damage not documented at drop-off
- Consequential damages or loss of income
- Delays due to parts availability
7. Parts
We use genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts whenever possible. In cases where OEM parts are unavailable, high-quality aftermarket parts may be used with your consent.
8. Turnaround Time
Typical repair turnaround is 2-5 business days. Complex repairs or those requiring special parts may take longer. We will provide an estimated timeline when we diagnose your equipment.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a repair at any time before work begins at no charge. If work has already begun, you may be charged a diagnostic fee. If parts have been ordered, you may be responsible for the cost of those parts.
10. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
11. Changes to Terms
Shocked Electronics reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
